How to automatically capture your customers’ data to show conversions
With Asap Conver you can automatically capture your users data to show the last conversions (last registered user, last purchase made, last request…). This way you will show that your website is active and your business is being popular. This is known as Social Proof.
IMPORTANT: At Asap Conver we take security very seriously and the tool will NEVER capture passwords. Only informative data to make Social Proof.
Create your notification with Auto Capture Data #
In Asap Conver, the 2 types of notifications that automatically capture data are: “Conversions” and “Conversions Counter”.
Go to Settings and Data #
Here activate the “Auto Capture Data” option, set “Exact Match” and add the URL where the form you want to capture data from is located.
IMPORTANT! If it doesn’t work with the exact URL of your form, use the generic URL of your website and it will work. Example: If it doesn’t work on the URL https://example.com/contact, just use https://example.com,
Fill in the form from the URL you entered in data ( check to see if is working) #
After completing it, go to the Data tab next to Statistics (above). There you can see the data automatically captured by Asap Conver from your form.
And here, notice the name of the fields on the left (name, email, accept…), this is important to configure the next step.
Show the captured data in the notification automatically #
Finally, in Basic Settings you can set a variable to display the data you have captured in the notification.
For example: to show the name it was saved as “name”. Well if we put {your-name} what it will do is to show the name of the user that has automatically saved in data. If you want to put the country it would be {country} or {country_code}. Depending on what was shown in the captured data fields.
You can use the variables in the Title field and also in the Description field.
Now go to Triggers and run a test #
For testing we recommend the following:
- Uncheck the option “trigger on all pages”. This way the test notification will not go out all over your website.
- Add the exact URL where you want the notification to go. Choose one that has no traffic or create a test one that only you see.
- Set the frequency to show “all the time”. This way you will be able to see all the changes you make when you update it. When you are done we recommend you to change it to “Once per session”.
Activate the notification #
Don’t forget to enable it to start showing on your website. By default they will always be disabled so you can start creating them and not annoy your users.
